What We Do

Minyannaires Club

CNSS has a busy programme of religious and social events. Underpinning it all is our commitment to Judaism, religious practice and Torah.

Daily prayers take place throughout the year, and rely on the commitment of members to ensure that there is a Minyan – a quorum of ten men over the age of Bar Mitzvah – to enable prayers to be said in their proper, public fashion.  This is particularly important to ensure that memorial prayers, such as the Kaddish Prayer, may be said at the appropriate time by those mourning the loss of a close relative, and for which a minyan is required.

SINCE THE CORONAVIRUS LOCKDOWN WAS ANNOUNCED IN THE UK IN MARCH 2020, CNSS HAS BEEN PROVIDING A VIRTUAL “MINYAN” FOR ALL SERVICES EXCEPT ON SHABBAT AND YOM TOV.  DETAILS CAN BE FOUND ON OUR SERVICE TIMES PAGE.

If you would like to join the list of members who may be called upon to fulfil this special mitzvah, please join our WhatsApp group and commit to attending at a frequency that suits you, by contacting Rabbi Shindler via the shul office on 020 8886 8225, or by email at office@cnss.co.uk.
