Living In Our Area

Cockfosters, Southgate and the areas around them are great places to live.

Southgate, Palmers Green and Enfield have a great variety of shops, and Southgate Green and Winchmore Hill both have a real ‘villagey’ feel.

Some of North London’s most magnificent parks are within a short walk of CNSS – 800 acre Trent Park, picturesque Oakwood Park and glorious Grovelands, as well as Broomfield in nearby Palmers Green and Oak Hill in East Barnet.

Southgate is just a 15 minute drive to Temple Fortune and Golders Green with their great selection of kosher restaurants, butchers and bakeries.  Closer to home, there is kosher butcher in East Barnet and Cockfosters Deli keeps a good selection of kosher foods, bagels and challahs.

Ours is a wonderful area for young families, not least because of the local US school, Wolfson Hillel Primary School in Southgate, which is rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

There are Piccadilly Line stations in Southgate, Oakwood and Cockfosters, so Central London is no more than half an hour away.  There are also fast mainline services from Winchmore Hill, Palmers Green and New Barnet.
